After losing a 14-point lead with less than three minutes to play, North Carolina clinched the ACC's Coastal Division on Saturday with a 30-27 overtime victory at Virginia Tech.
The win didn't lack for dramatic flair. The Tar Heels won after Marquise Williams atoned for three turnovers – all on fumbles – with a 5-yard pass on a 3rd-and-goal to Quinshad Davis.
The play sent UNC players running from their sideline and onto the field to celebrate a victory that spoiled Virginia Tech coach Frank Beamer's final home game.
UNC led 24-10 with less than eight minutes to play in regulation but Virginia Tech tied the game with two touchdowns in the final three minutes.
