UNC let a chance for a Quad 1 win slip out of their hands on the road at Pittsburgh on Tuesday night in a 73-65 loss to the Panthers. The Tar Heels absolutely fell apart down the stretch, allowing a 14-2 run by Pitt to secure the win.
It was as frustrating of a watching experience as we’ve seen from a very disjointed team all season. Carolina didn’t score for the final 3:21, made just one of their last 11 shots, and handed Pitt 22 points off turnovers. This was a game both teams needed and Pittsburgh found a way to take advantage of all of UNC’s sloppiness.
