North Carolina senior guard Madinah Muhammad scored a game-high 24 points for the Tar Heels, who topped Missouri by a final score of 82-69 at the Cancun Challenge on Friday night. She hit 6-of-13 shots from the floor, including 6-of-10 from three-point range and 6-of-9 from the free throw line.
Junior center Janelle Bailey added 20 points, six rebounds and three assists for the Tar Heels, while Shayla Bennett scored 16 points and dished out a game-high seven assists. Taylor Koenen and Malu Tshitenge each scored 11 points for the Tar Heels, who only played seven players for the game, and got no bench scoring.
