It’s officially game day.
The North Carolina Tar Heels will play for the National Championship on Monday night, with Villanova standing in the way of another title for the program.
The two teams will meet in the NCAA Tournament again, marking the seventh time it’s happened. The Tar Heels have won five of the previous six matchups, including the last one in 2013. Ironically, the Tar Heels beat Villanova in 1982, 2005 and 2009 before winning the National Championship.
But tonight none of that matters.
The Wildcats are fresh off a beatdown of the Oklahoma Sooners in the National Semifinal game, looking impressive scoring 91 points.
