The University of North Carolina has two of the 25 players named on the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 that was released Friday morning.
Junior point guard Joel Berry II and junior wing Justin Jackson are UNC’s representatives on the prestigious award’s watch list.
For the season, Berry is averaging 15.6 points, 4.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. He’s shooting 49.7 percent from the floor, including 42.2 percent from three-point range. He hits 91.8 percent of his free throws, good for second-best in the ACC.
Jackson has shown tremendous improvement as a junior, scoring over five points a game more than he did as a sophomore.
