Roy Williams and the North Carolina basketball program have already reeled in their best recruiting class in better than a decade, but they’re not done quite yet.
Despite having pledges from three 5-star recruits in the class of 2020 — Walker Kessler, Day’Ron Sharpe and Caleb Love — and newly-minted 4-star combo guard R.J. Davis, the Tar Heels are still in the running for a handful of top-50 prospects. One of those prospects is consensus 5-star shooting guard Bryce Thompson.
A 6-foot-5, 175-pound senior at Booker T. Washington in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Thompson has a list of seven finalists that includes Arkansas, Kansas, Michigan State, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas.
