A week after withdrawing from the NBA Draft, Theo Pinson returned to his high school gym to receive a great honor; getting his jersey retired.
Pinson attended Wesleyan Christian Academy, located in High Point, NC, for three of his four high school years. After transferring from Oak Ridge (N.C.) Military Academy after his freshman season, wearing number 11, Pinson was named a McDonalds All-American, The Charlotte Observer’s Mr. Basketball for North Carolina and third-team USA Today All-American all during his senior year.
During his senior year, Pinson went on to average 23 points per game and lead Wesleyan Christian to a second consecutive 3-A NCISAA State Championship.
