The North Carolina men’s basketball program is in serious need of a quality point guard, what with the injury to current star freshman Cole Anthony, and the overall lack of depth in the Tar Heels’ back court. Anthony will be gone next season, and the other guards on the UNC roster are largely unproven.
Roy Williams and company do, however, have a commitment from 5-star lead guard Caleb Love. The top-25 point guard prospect from the class of 2020 will be joining the program next fall. But as we’ve seen in years past, Love could be gone after just one season in Chapel Hill, leaving the Tar Heels in a potentially precarious situation moving forward.
