The recruitment for five-star shooting guard Anthony Edwards is going to heat up in a big way in the coming months.
On Tuesday, 247 Sports recruiting analyst Evan Daniels reported that Edwards will reclassify from 2020 to 2019 and becomes the No. 1 overall player in his new class.
“Just thinking and talking about it, I decided to reclassify to 2019,” Edwards told 247Sports on Tuesday morning. “I thought it was better for me and my family.”
The Atlanta, Georgia native climbed the 2020 rankings this past year, all the way to No. 2 as he’s becoming one of the best scorers in the country.
