Garrison Brooks led all scorers with 25 points, as North Carolina beat NC State by a final score of 75-65 in Raleigh on Monday night. It was the Tar Heels’ seventh consecutive victory over the Wolfpack at PNC Arena.
With 11 rebounds, Brooks recorded his seventh consecutive double-double, and hit 11-of-20 shots for the game. Three Tar Heels, Brandon Robinson, Leaky Black and Armando Bacot, scored 11 points a piece. Bacot matched Brooks’ 11 rebounds, notching his eighth double-double of the season, and third in the last four games.
The Tar Heels shot 49.1 percent from the floor, but hit just two of their nine from throw attempts.
