Garrison Brooks had a game-high 26 points and 13 rebounds, as North Carolina beat Syracuse by a final score of 92-79 at the Carrier Dome on Saturday afternoon.
Brooks hit 9-of-13 shots for the game, and 8-of-8 from the free throw line. He also dished out four assists, and had two blocks in one of his best overall games of the season. UNC freshman point guard Cole Anthony scored 25 points thanks to an outstanding offensive performance that saw him shoot 8-for-13 from the floor, and 7-for-11 from beyond the arc. He added a game-high seven assists to just two turnovers to go along with two rebounds, two steals and a block.
