Garrison Brooks scored 20 points and pulled down six rebounds as No. 6 North Carolina topped Alabama 76-67 in the first round of the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis.
Brooks hit 7-of-13 shots from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. His 20 points ties a career-high that he scored against Wofford last season. Freshman point guard Cole Anthony added 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals for UNC, while Armando Bacot and Brandon Robinson each scored 12 points. Robinson returned to the Tar Heels’ lineup for his first game of the 2019-20 campaign after suffering a preseason ankle injury.
