Not long after he was named North Carolina Tar Heels head coach, Hubert Davis — himself a former New York Knick — talked about wanting to get UNC playing in Madison Square Garden more often. This upcoming season they’ll get yet another chance.
On Tuesday, it was announced that this year’s edition of the CBS Sports Classic will be held at the Garden, where Carolina will take on UCLA, with Kentucky and Ohio State matching up in the other game.
