The Preseason BPI Top-50 was released on Monday, and the North Carolina Tar Heels are ranked among the top programs in the nation for the upcoming college basketball season.
BPI metrics revolve heavily around the quantity and quality of experienced players on a roster, as well as the recruiting rankings for incoming freshmen, with an added emphasis for those with five stars.
