The North Carolina Tar Heels returned to the court on Saturday afternoon for the first time since their shocking home loss to Wofford on Wednesday.
The fifth-ranked Tar Heels beat the Ohio State Buckeyes by a final score of 86-72 in the matinée game of the CBS Sports Classic in New Orleans.
Joel Berry II and Theo Pinson led the way with 19 points a piece for the Tar Heels, who led by as many as 19 in the second half before allowing the Buckeyes to close the gap in the game’s closing minutes.
Berry hit 7-of-14 shots from the floor including 3-of-8 from three-point range and 2-for-3 from the free throw line.
