The North Carolina Tar Heels still have some serious holes in their 2019 recruiting class, and hope to fill one of those voids with one of eight remaining five-star prospects in the 247Sports Composite.
This recruiting cycle hasn’t been especially kind to Roy Williams and the Tar Heels, who’ve missed on a number of top-30 prospects including Josh Green, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, Will Baker, Wendell Moore and Tre Mann. All five players were considered strong possibilities to commit to North Carolina at one point, but ultimately chose other schools.
Still, the Tar Heels have opportunities to shore up some of the current deficiencies in their recruiting class.
