Wofford guard Trevor Stumpe scored a game-high 19 points to go along with three rebounds and five assists, as the Terriers beat No. 17 North Carolina 68-64 at Carmichael Arena on Sunday night.
Stumpe hit 6-of-10 shots from the floor, including 4-of-6 from three-point range and 3-of-3 from the free throw line. Terriers junior guard Storm Murphy added 15 points on five made three-pointers, and reserve forward Messiah Jones scored 13 off the bench. The Terriers improved to 7-4 on the season, capturing just their second road win of the season.
The Tar Heels were led by junior forward Garrison Brooks, who scored a team-high 17 points on an ultra efficient 8-of-10 shooting.
