The North Carolina Tar Heels lost out on a 4-star target from the class of 2020 on Sunday, as top-40 prospect Cam’Ron Fletcher committed to John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Fletcher’s commitment marks the second for Calipari and the Wildcats in just over a week. BJ Boston, Jr., the No. 10 overall prospect in the class of 2020, chose Kentucky over Duke, Kansas and a host of others on July 27.
Fletcher, a 6-foot-7, 195-pound small forward out of Vashon High School in Saint Louis, Missouri, released his top-5 list just a couple of weeks ago, naming Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan State and Missouri as his five finalists.
