University of North Carolina junior forward Janelle Bailey has been named a finalist for the 2020 Lisa Leslie Award. Bailey is among 10 standout women’s college basketball players hoping to win the prestigious award, which recognizes the top center in Division I hoops.
Bailey, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, has made the list for the second consecutive season. Joining her on the list this year are Baylor’s Queen Egbo, Connecticut’s Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Iowa State’s Kristin Scott, Miami’s Beatrice Mompremier, NC State’s Elissa Cunane, Purdue’s Ae’Rianna Harris, South Carolina’s Aliyah Boston, Texas’ Charli Collier and Texas Tech’s Brittany Brewer.
