Coby White scored a team-high 17 points, and No. 13 North Carolina beat Notre Dame 75-69 in Chapel Hill on Tuesday night.
The freshman point guard hit 6-of-11 shots from the floor, and 4-of-7 from three-point range. It was a far cry from the four-point performance he had against Louisville on Saturday when he didn’t hit a single basket in 19 minutes of play.
Senior forward Luke Maye scored 14 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, but had another poor shooting performance, hitting just 6-of-19 shots from the floor and 1-of-5 from downtown. UNC’s leading scorer Cam Johnson recorded 11 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Tar Heels, who moved to 13-4 on the season and 3-1 in ACC play.
