When North Carolina enters Monday’s game against Syracuse, they will still be ranked in the top 10 but will have fallen in the poll. The Tar Heels are ranked No. 8 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, after going 1-1 in the week.
The Tar Heels beat rival North Carolina State on the road before falling to then No. 3 Virginia on the road by five points. The Cavaliers even dropped a spot, falling behind No. 1 Kansas, No. 2 Michigan State and No. 3 Villanova.
Ahead of the Tar Heels is No. 7 Miami, who has reached their peak in the polls this season.
