Ellen Margaret Andrews scored a team-high 24 points and the Yale Bulldogs beat the North Carolina Tar Heels 66-63 at Carmichael Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Andrews hit 9-of-16 shots from the floor and 4-of-7 from the free throw line to go along with six rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Roxy Barahman added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who moved to 8-3 on the season.
North Carolina’s Shayla Bennett scored a game-high 25 points on 9-of-24 shooting, including 3-of-8 from three-point range and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. Janelle Bailey scored 16 points and pulled down 16 rebounds in the losing effort.
