The North Carolina Tar Heels are reeling, but help is on the way. A member of the Tar Heels’ 2020 recruiting class — one that’s ranked No. 3 in the nation — put together another terrific performance on Friday night, helping his team to a 68-34 victory over Hampton.
Woodward Academy’s Walker Kessler, a 7-foot, 245-pound center out of Fairburn, Georgia, notched a 17-point, 12-rebound double-double in the War Eagles’ 20th win of the season. Even more impressive is the fact that Kessler was just two blocks shy of a rare triple-double. And despite having eight blocks on the game, he didn’t get whistled for a single foul.
