The 2023-24 season for the North Carolina Tar Heels women’s basketball team was a bit of a step back on their road back to being true contenders in the sport. While they still made the NCAA Tournament and won their first round game, injuries wrecked any real chance they had at a deep run, as they fell to eventual champions South Carolina in the second round.
Going into this season, UNC has an intriguing roster featuring the likes of returning star Alyssa Utsby and some first year players with loads of potential. On Tuesday, we found out some of the tests they’ll face in the 2024-25 season when their non-conference schedule was released.
