UNC basketball was supposed to take on Syracuse on January 2nd before the Orange had several games postponed because of issues with COVID-19. Carolina was supposed to take on the other orange team, Clemson, on Saturday, but that didn’t happen for the same reason. Syracuse is back up and running, though, so tonight we’re making up for some lost time.
The Tar Heels come in riding a small two-game win streak after narrowly surviving in games against Notre Dame and Miami. Day’Ron Sharpe played a big role in both victories with his newfound status as a starter.
The Orange have played just twice since December 19th, splitting the results with a loss to Pittsburgh and a win over Georgetown.
