In the new age of college basketball, nearly every team who’s had success has done so with the help of the transfer portal. In 2022, Oklahoma transfer Brady Manek played a huge part in Carolina’s run to the national championship. Last year, Harrison Ingram and Cormac Ryan spearheaded a quintet of transfers who helped the Heels sweep Duke and take home the ACC regular season crown. Ahead of this upcoming season, Carolina has secured a couple portal players, most notably Belmont wing Cade Tyson.
No disrespect to the MVC, but it will obviously be an adjustment for Tyson going from there to the best conference in basketball.
