On Monday, news broke that Danny Green would be receiving some recognition for his play during the 2016-17 NBA season.
Green, often times known for his ability to shoot from the perimeter, has become one of the NBA’s top defenders over the last few seasons.
The forward represents the only guard in the NBA to have at least 50 steals and 50 blocks in each of the last five seasons. That’s quite an accolade for a player who was drafted in the second round and didn’t start a single game in his first two professional seasons.
Green is joined by star Kawhi Leonard, who was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team.
