Roy Williams has been active on the recruiting trail since the Tar Heels’ most recent defeat — a disappointing 66-52 loss at Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon — and he was on hand at the Hoophall Classic on Monday to watch a pair of highly touted prospects.
Trevor Keels, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound shooting guard in the class of 2021, was facing off with 5-star UNC target Ziaire Williams and Sierra Canyon. Keels, a junior at Paul VI Catholic in Fairfax, Virginia, is quickly becoming one of the most sought after recruits in his class, and for good reason.
Keels is an athletic player that can score from all three levels.
