North Carolina’s Roy Williams was among a star-studded cast of Division I head coaches in Kansas City on Friday night to watch 5-star prospect Jaden Springer.
Springer and his team, B Maze Elite, were taking part in the Midwest leg of the Under Armor Association held at Hy-Vee Arena — formerly known as Kemper Arena — home of the 1988 Final Four. Along with Williams was Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl, Michigan’s John Beilein, Tennessee front man Rick Barnes and first-year Vanderbilt head coach Jerry Stackhouse.
Rivals recruiting analyst Eric Bossi was also in Kansas City on Friday to take in festivities, and shed some light on what figures to be one of the most heated recruiting battles among prospects in the class of 2020.
