Following the North Carolina Tar Heels’ big win over Syracuse, head coach Roy Williams hit the recruiting trail with some time off in-between games. The Tar Heels don’t return to the court until Saturday night when they head to Clemson to take on the Tigers, giving him a chance to check in on a big recruiting target.
Williams is hoping to make a push in the recruitment of five-star power forward Matthew Hurt and took a tip to Minnesota to watch him play.
According to Rivals’ reporter Evan Bossi, Williams was in Minnesota on Wednesday night to watch Hurt, who is still undecided in the 2019 class:
Roy Williams and an assistant will be out to see undecided five-star forward Matthew Hurt this evening.
