The North Carolina Tar Heels got off to a quick start with the recruiting class of 2020 thanks to the early commitment of Day’Ron Sharpe, a 6-foot-10, 246-pound center out of South Central High School in Winterville, North Carolina.
A 4-star prospect at the time of his commitment to UNC last June, Sharpe’s tremendous play throughout his junior season, as well as his performance on the Nike EYBL circuit, have helped him rise to a 5-star ranking in the latest Top247. It also helps that he’s grown an inch and added north of 20 pounds over the past year, and could be even bigger by the time he gets to campus next summer.
