The North Carolina men’s basketball program said goodbye to senior mainstays Joel Berry II and Theo Pinson, but the future is bright in Chapel Hill.
Thanks to the return of senior starters Luke Maye, Cameron Johnson and Kenny Williams, the Tar Heels have a seasoned core of players that looks ready to compete for a fourth national championship since 2005. Maye, in particular, is facing some extremely high expectations after an extraordinary junior season with the Tar Heels.
The expectations seem warranted, though, coming on the heels of a season in which he averaged 16.9 points and 10.
