It didn’t take long for University of North Carolina Tar Heels junior Justin Jackson to break the school’s single season three-point record.
In the Round of 64 matchup against Texas-Southern, Justin Jackson tied the UNC all-time record for most three-pointers in a season. Former UNC star Shammond Williams was the previous owner of this record.
Williams held the record for most three-pointers in a season with 95. Now that belongs to the junior Jackson.
Jackson accomplished the feat when he hit a three-pointer just minutes into the Tar Heels second round game against Arkansas. His three-pointer gave him 96 for the season, setting the new record.
