While the North Carolina men’s basketball team is struggling, the women on the other hand are having a solid season and should find themselves in the NCAA Tournament again this year.
UNC just won their second-straight game on Sunday, beating Clemson 86-72 to improve to 16-6 overall and 7-4 in conference play. The win gave UNC a 2-0 week as they also beat Virginia on Thursday.
A big reason why UNC was able to go 2-0 last week and stay over the .500 mark in conference play was the play of junior center Janelle Bailey. The center scored 23 points in the win over Virginia and followed it up with 23 more points against Clemson and with that, she earned Co-ACC Player of the Week honors:
"Watching Janelle mature as a player and find so many ways to help this team win has been such a joy.
