Former University of North Carolina power forward James Michael McAdoo has agreed to terms with Fiat Torino of Italy’s Lega Basket Serie A. As a member of the LBA, Fiat Torino competes at the highest level of Italian professional basketball.
Once he arrives in Italy, McAdoo will unite with a pair of former Tar Heels in Larry Brown, head coach of Fiat Torino, and assistant coach Dante Calabria.
Brown was a point guard at North Carolina from 1960 to 1963, and became an assistant coach to Dean Smith in 1965. He went on to coach for a number of teams, both collegiate and professional, winning titles with the Kansas Jayhawks in 1988 and the Detroit Pistons in 2004.
