While the buzz around NBA rookies currently surrounds Ja Morant and Zion Williamson, it’s a former North Carolina standout that is making headlines over the past few weeks.
Chicago Bulls point guard and former North Carolina star Coby White has been on a hot run over the past two weeks, putting up scoring performances of 33, 33, 35, 22 and 19. He set a new career-high with 33 points in the loss to Phoenix on Feb. 22nd and then upped that high two games later with a 35-point performance against Oklahoma City.
For his efforts, White picked up his first big award in his NBA career.
