It was 25 years ago this year that George Lynch was the East Regional’s most outstanding player on the North Carolina Tar Heels’ national title team.
Lynch was a four-year player at North Carolina, averaging double-digits in each of his last three years. He shot 52 percent from the field for his career, too.
Fast forward to 2018 and Lynch is beginning his head coaching career. The former Tar Heel has been a graduate assistant and a strength coach, but this will be his first head coaching job.
Lynch will take over a Clark Atlanta program that currently plays on the Division II level.
