Former North Carolina point guard Jalek Felton has decided to forego his remaining college eligibility, and play professional basketball overseas.
On Friday, Felton signed a contract with KK Olimpija Ljubljana, also know as Petrol Olimpija due to sponsorship reasons, of the Liga Nova KBM in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The Liga Nova KBM consists of 10 teams, and its members compete at the highest level of Slovenian basketball. Petrol Olimpija also plays in the Adriatic League, which is composed of teams from the former Yugoslavia.
The former five-star recruit left the University of North Carolina mid-way through his freshman season with the Tar Heels after being suspended by the school amid allegations of misconduct.
