UNC escaped JMA Wireless Dome (which I’m still not used to typing, seeing as it was the Carrier Dome literally my whole life before the 2022 name change) with an 88-82 win. A win is a win, but as has been the case much of this season, there was plenty to nitpick about the team’s play. They fouled a lot, missed free throws and allowed a team they should have put away in the second half to creep back into the game.
There have been several UNC wins that probably raised more questions than expectations this year. The Heels have exactly three wins in their last eight games; the home OT win over a terrible Boston College team, a one point victory against a spiraling Pitt squad, and the narrow win over Syracuse.
