North Carolina freshman point guard Coby White has been named ACC Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
For White, it’s the fifth time this season that he’s won the award, which is voted on by a 15-member media panel and announced each Monday throughout the regular season. He’s now tied with Duke freshman Zion Williamson for most in the conference this year.
White averaged 16 points, three assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in victories over Boston College and Duke last week. He shot just under 45 percent from the floor over the two games, and 33 percent from three-point range.
