After a couple of extraordinary games against Duke and Miami, Brice Johnson has been named the Naismith Trophy National Player of the Week.
Continuing his incredible senior season, Johnson recorded double-doubles in both contests last week. Against Duke, Johnson led the way for UNC with 29 points and 19 rebounds before the Tar Heels relinquished their lead and lost the game in the closing minutes. In a 25-point blowout win over Miami in Chapel Hill, he scored 16 points and pulled down 15 rebounds for the Heels.
For the week, he averaged a staggering 22.5 points and 17 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 71.
