The senior power forward averaged 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game this season, while collecting 19 double-doubles. He led the ACC in rebounds, field-goal percentage and double-doubles, where he had 12 in 18 conference games.
Johnson is joined on the first team by Oklahoma’s Buddy Hield, Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine, Utah’s Jakob Poeltl and Kentucky’s Tyler Ulis. The team is composed of three seniors and two sophomores, respectively.
On Saturday, Johnson’s 18 points and 21 rebounds helped lead eighth-ranked North Carolina to a victory over Duke, securing their first ACC regular season title since 2012.
Malcolm Brogdon, who was selected by the media as the ACC Player of the Year on Sunday, has been named a second-team All-America by USA Today.
