When it was announced last month that the Tar Heels were going to change things up in how they do their beginning of the season activities, there was a little consternation about something that had been free inside of the massive Smith Center being moved to a much smaller venue inside a casino. Of course, we live in the NIL era, and the truth of the matter was that the Late Night/Live Action events had gotten pretty predictable in terms of what would happen. You could also argue that, since the loss of Stuart Scott, they couldn’t hold the same magic they once did.
