UNC Basketball: Assistant Coaches announced for 2021-2022

The staff for the North Carolina Tar Heels men’s basketball program is set for next season.

On Thursday, the program announced that Sean May, Jeff Lebo, Jackie Manuel, and Brad Frederick will serve as assistant coaches under new head coach Hubert Davis.

May, the 2005 Sports Illustrated National Player of the Year and First-Team All-American, will be promoted to the sidelines. He served the last four seasons as UNC’s Director of Basketball Operations.

Lebo, a four-year starter for Carolina in the late 1980s who remains one of the top assist and free throw shooters in program history, returns to the collegiate sidelines after resigning from the East Carolina head coach position in 2017.
