Former North Carolina Tar Heels standout and NBA legend Michael Jordan is giving back to his High School in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Jordan announced he was donating more than $1M to Laney High School on Thursday afternoon, dating back to a portion of sales from an Air Jordan V dubbed “Laney” from 2013. Jordan Brand released the colorway of the popular Air Jordan V and included in the contract with the school that portions would be donated back.
