There were only two sophomores in this class: one is a walk-on who did not play much, and the other has entered the transfer portal. But we can look at how they graded out for last season.
Russell Hawkins
A former JV player who walked on to the varsity team, Hawkins comes from a Carolina family; his mother (a former Tar Heel cheerleader), father, and sister are all UNC alums. Coming out of Mallard Creek High School in Charlotte, the 6-1 sophomore has a very impressive off-the-court resume as a member of the National Honor Society among other accolades.
