Weather in the Chapel Hill area turned a bit rainy about halfway into a rescheduled afternoon tilt the Diamond Heels had against Presbyterian College on Tuesday. Before they could finish the third inning, the tarp came on the field and a storm moved through. By the time it was done, both squads just went ahead and cancelled the game.
So you’ll have a weird situation where the stats basically don’t count for the game, but you still had action that you can make some assumptions on. Carolina at least went through their order once, and as Tom Chmielewski only managed to record one out but still gave up three runs, it’s at least a sign that the pitching depth for the Heels may have its limits.
