The Diamond Heels are coming off of a midweek come-from-behind 3-8 victory over South Carolina at Truist Field in Charlotte, where the bats actually took center stage over the pitching. The Tar Heels went yard four times, including two by Luke Stevenson, and chalked up a five-run eighth inning.
Next up is a weekend series with the Miami Hurricanes, who roll into Chapel Hill with a 14-12 record. They are only 1-5 in conference play and have lost 2 in a row.
It has been an up and down season for the Canes, who have been very inconsistent thus far and are looking to right the ship while the Tar Heels (ironically) will be looking to make more waves.
