It didn’t take the North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team long to put some runs on the board.
UNC plated 10 runs in the first inning of Friday’s ACC Tournament game against NC State, jumping all over the Wolfpack in the opening frame.
In a winner take all game, the Tar Heels responded with their best inning of the season.
Brian Miller got the scoring started in the first inning with a leadoff solo home run. Then UNC received back-to-back singles from Logan Warmoth and Ashton McGee who scored on Brandon Riley doubled them home.
UNC got RBI hits from Tyler Lynn and Cody Roberts before the lineup turned over again.
