Angel Zarate went 4-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs, as North Carolina beat UNC Greensboro 12-5 at Boshamer Stadium on Tuesday night.
Senior center fielder Dylan Harris was 2-for-3 at the plate with two walks, four runs scored and three runs batted in. He hit his team-high fourth home run of the season in the fifth inning, a 412-foot laser over the right field wall that gave the Tar Heels a 3-0 lead. Joey Lancellotti was the only other Tar Heel to get a hit in the game; he went 1-for-4 with a triple.
With a one-run lead at the seventh inning stretch, North Carolina saw eight runners cross the plate before the Spartans got back up to the plate in the eighth inning.
